Description of the "Tbilisi Oriental By Next" complex

Tbilisi Oriental by Next — is the flagship mixed-use development from the international property developer NEXT, which is set to become a new architectural landmark in the historic Ortachala district. A 21-storey building, designed in a futuristic high-tech style, represents a fusion of contemporary aesthetics and the area’s industrial heritage, inspired by the architecture of the nearby Ortachal Hydroelectric Power Station.

The project’s concept is based on the idea of a ‘city within a city’: the first two floors will house a restaurant, a sports and wellness centre and retail units; above these will be modern office spaces; and the remaining 17 floors will comprise residential flats. Each flat has a spacious balcony offering panoramic views of the old town and the Mtkvari River, and the building includes two underground levels for parking. The architectural concept was developed by the international firm Spectrum, for whom this project marked their sixth collaboration with NEXT.
